A Brief Overview
This position is 36 hours a week, nightshift.
The Neurodiagnostic Specialist II is an advanced level specialist position. The Neurodiagnostic Specialist II is responsible for all the duties outlined in the job title Neurodiagnostic Specialist I. Additionally, the specialist must possess the training and expertise required to independently perform advanced neurophysiologic procedures including intraoperative corticoelectroencephalography, intraoperative cortical stimulation, and intraoperative evoked cortical potential procedures. The Neurodiagnostic Specialist II is responsible for training EEG Technologists/EEG externs. Training includes all neurophysiologic procedures involved in the operation of the inpatient EEG monitoring unit, including Phase 1 surface electroencephalographic studies, Phase 2 subdural studies, and any other studies deemed necessary by the Neurodiagnostic Manager and/or Medical Director. The Neurodiagnostic Specialist II must be able to work independently under the supervision of the EEG Manager and/or Medical Director.
