    Description

    Healthcare United is seeking a Neuro-Hospitalist to join a well-supported inpatient neurology program in East Central Illinois. This position features a true 7 on / 7 off block schedule with 7:00 am – 7:00 pm shifts, delivering 26 weeks off per year and predictable, sustainable work-life balance. You will partner with a dedicated outpatient neurology team, allowing you to focus exclusively on hospital-based care.

    The incoming physician will join an expanding regional health system with strong specialty backup and a collegial medical staff. Candidates seeking block scheduling, high acuity inpatient neurology, and freedom from clinic obligations will find this to be an outstanding opportunity.

    • Provide inpatient neurologic consultation and management during 7 am – 7 pm shifts
    • Evaluate and treat stroke, seizure, altered mental status, and other acute neurologic presentations
    • Support emergency department consultations and acute stroke response
    • Coordinate transitions of care with the outpatient neurology team
    • Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, and consulting specialists
    • Interpret and coordinate neurodiagnostic testing for inpatients
    • Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
    • Deliver patient-focused, quality-driven care

    Requirements

    • MD or DO degree required
    • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
    • Eligible for or active Illinois medical license
    • Comfort managing acute inpatient neurologic conditions
    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available

    Benefits

    • Expected base salary range $350,000 – $425,000+
