Network Test Engineer

Client is looking for an experienced Senior Network Test Engineer to test, certify, and validate enterprise network infrastructure. The role focuses on network hardware/software testing, automation, troubleshooting, security validation, and supporting large-scale enterprise and cloud networking environments.

• Test and certify network devices such as Cisco and Arista routers/switches.
• Validate software upgrades, patches, SMUs, and security fixes (CVE-driven certifications).
• Design and execute network performance, interoperability, and reliability testing in lab environments.
• Troubleshoot network issues using tools like Wireshark, tcpdump, IXIA, and Spirent.
• Develop test automation using Python, Ansible, GitHub, and APIs.
• Create technical documentation, test reports, best practices, and engineering standards.
• Work with vendors to evaluate new products, features, and technologies.
• Provide technical guidance and support to engineering and operations teams.
• Ensure network security, risk assessment, and vulnerability validation.

• 8+ years of networking experience.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Routing & Switching
  • BGP, OSPF, IGMP, PIM, Multicast
  • Cisco (Catalyst, Nexus, ISR, ASR) and Arista platforms
  • Linux administration
  • Python and Ansible automation
  • Wireshark and packet analysis
• Experience with network lab testing and certification.
• CCNP level knowledge (CCIE preferred).

• Kubernetes, CNI, Cloud-Native Networking.
• eBPF / Cilium networking and observability.
• AWS or Azure networking.
• NAC, 802.1X, QoS, IPSec, DDoS protection.
• ROBOT Framework and automation testing.
• Firewalls and Load Balancers (F5, Fortinet, A10, SRX).

• Lead network testing and certification projects independently.
• Improve testing through automation.
• Ensure stable, secure, and high-performing network infrastructure.
• Communicate findings effectively to both technical and business stakeholders.
• Take ownership, solve complex networking problems, and drive technology decisions.

A senior network professional with strong expertise in network testing, routing & switching, automation (Python/Ansible), security validation, and enterprise network design, capable of leading projects and working independently.

The pay range for this role is $ 100,000 - $120,000* per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.
