    Introduction

    The role involves engineering the virtualization layer of the Internal Cloud Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) stack. The position is crucial for enabling standardized, production-grade hosting for Internal Cloud workload types such as virtual machines, grid compute, and container platforms. The engineer will ensure the virtualization layer meets enterprise requirements for availability, performance, resiliency, and operability.

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    • 4–5 years of experience engineering or operating enterprise virtualization platforms in production environments.
    • Strong hands-on experience with Linux workloads and infrastructure troubleshooting in virtualized environments.
    • Familiarity with virtualization concepts and hyperconverged infrastructure fundamentals (compute/virtualization/storage interaction).
    • Experience supporting virtualization lifecycle activities such as upgrades, patching, stability/performance triage, and production change processes.
    • Prior work experience at client or in client's industry.

    Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

    Preferred Skills & Qualifications

    • 5–7 years supporting virtualization platforms at enterprise scale.
    • Experience operating virtualization platforms that support multiple workload domains (VMs, container platforms, grid/batch).
    • Certification (e.g., VCP) or equivalent training/experience.

    Day-to-Day Responsibilities

    • Engineering and maintaining the virtualization platform layer referenced in the Internal Cloud HCI stack.
    • Supporting lifecycle changes and upgrades, and validating performance/resiliency behavior of the virtualization layer.
    • Partnering with automation and platform teams to ensure virtualization capabilities are delivered consistently as part of the layered, automation-driven HCI build model.
