    Description

    Title: AV Technician - Mid Location: Washington, D.C. (On-site at SEC HQ) Start Date / End Date: 10/12/2026 04/09/2027 (6 Months / 1,040 Hours)

    POSITION OVERVIEW The AV Technician - Mid provides front-end AV/VTC support for the Leidos SEC ISS contract within the Digital Modernization Sector, ensuring reliable operation of meeting and event technologies across supported SEC spaces. This role is responsible for maintaining the operational readiness of conference rooms, auditoriums, and multipurpose spaces while resolving technical issues quickly and professionally. Supporting Webex and Microsoft Teams collaboration platforms, live event execution, and post-production video editing, this role delivers crucial end-user training and documentation to drive adoption and sustain high service quality.

    DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Proactively inspect, configure, deploy, and maintain AV/VTC hardware and software across conference rooms, auditoriums, and multipurpose spaces.
    • Manage setups, equipment relocations, and perform routine readiness checks on monitors, microphones, conference phones, and room systems.
    • Deliver front-end troubleshooting for AV/VTC incidents to restore room functionality with minimal operational disruption.
    • Provide user-facing support for Cisco Webex and Microsoft Teams hybrid meetings, troubleshooting connectivity, audio/video performance, and content sharing.
    • Support live broadcast and event production for high-visibility sessions (e.g., town halls, commission meetings), including webcasting and coordinating captioning/interpretation services.
    • Perform post-production video editing for recorded sessions to produce high-quality final media assets.
    • Conduct user training and author training manuals, workbooks, job aids, and operational reference guides to reduce recurring incidents.

    REQUIRED SKILLS

    • Enterprise Front-End AV/VTC Support & Troubleshooting 5+ years
    • Live Broadcast Production, Streaming & Post-Production Video Editing 3+ years
    • Unified Communications / Collaboration Support (Webex & MS Teams) 3+ years
    • Technical Training & Documentation Development 3+ years

    ADDITIONAL DESIRED SKILLS

    • AVIXA CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D Certifications
    • Dante Audio Networking Certification (Level 1 or Level 2)
    • ServiceNow or ITIL-based ticketing and SLA tracking experience
    • Coordination of live captioning and American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation services

    CANDIDATE PROFILE A client-facing, hands-on Audiovisual and VTC Specialist with a strong history of supporting enterprise or federal executive meetings and live broadcasts. Possesses deep technical knowledge of hardware setups, signal flow, and streaming tools combined with excellent customer service, post-production capability, and user training skills.
