Network SME Lv1 III / Sr System Administrator
Location: Dayton. OH
Our client is a trusted Prime Contractor to the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), serving top companies across the automotive, aerospace, and defense industries. As a result of continued success, they are looking for an energetic Network SME Lvl III / Sr. Systems Administrator to join their team in Fairborn, OH.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing a fully configured company laptop to employees, 1099s, and vendors, as required.
- Help ensure our client's backend infrastructure is always CMMC Lvl II compliant.
- Help ensure our client's policies, procedures, and training are complete and accurate to support Facility Clearance requirements.
- Maintaining computer networks and systems, including software, mainframes, VPNs, routers, and other physical hardware.
- Installing and configuring network equipment to update or fix hardware or software issues.
- Updating virus protection software to keep data and communications protected.
- Monitoring computer systems to improve network performance for computer systems and networks.
- Communicating any upcoming network outages or networking issues to other employees and management, especially in training new users.
- Fixing software and hardware configuration issues for users on-demand or from inspection of the systems.
- Ability to solve problems in stressful situations and work extra hours until the problem is resolved.
- Work with software and hardware providers for purchases, renewals, and compliance.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to inexperienced users.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science (or related area) preferred.
- Working knowledge of products: Microsoft GCC High, OneDrive, Zscaler, Adobe PDF, Microsoft Sentinel, remote troubleshooting platforms.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Gov and AWS Gov cloud environments and services.
- Microsoft Certification (MCSE) or equivalent certification in relevant programs desired.
- LAN routing and switching design, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate or Professional - CCNA/CCNP, MCITP Server.
- CompTIA certification most desired.
- Microsoft IIS administration and configuration.
- Ability to troubleshoot network issues, including backbone infrastructure issues.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
