Overview
System One is looking for a Network Security Engineer for a long term contract opportunity. This position is fully remote.

Responsibilities

• Implement, maintain, monitor, and support the organization's network infrastructure to ensure reliability, security, and performance.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, security teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to support network operations and infrastructure projects.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network hardware and software, including LAN, WAN, wireless, SD-WAN, VPN, and cloud environments.
• Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity; troubleshoot and resolve incidents or service disruptions.
• Support network security measures, perform root cause analysis, and escalate complex issues as needed.
• Manage work orders and ensure SLA adherence in incident management.
• Support infrastructure upgrades, site deployments, and participate in technology projects.
• Work with the trouble ticketing system and provide end user support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience may be substituted.
• 3–5 years of experience in network engineering or administration.
• Experience with Fortinet, Meraki, Cisco or similar enterprise networking technologies.
• Support experience with Azure and AWS cloud networking environments.
• Advanced TCP/IP knowledge including routing, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, subnetting, DNS, DHCP, and network sniffing.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access).
• Strong communication, teamwork, organization, and analytical skills.
• Customer service orientation.
• Fortinet Certified Associate (FCA) or Fortinet Certified Professional (FCP) desired.
• Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700) desired.
