Description

Job Title: Network Project Manager
Work Arrangement: Fully Remote
Duration: 12 Months

Targeted Years of Experience: 5-7 years

Responsibilities:

" Analyzes architecture, relationship between systems, and systems flow of end-to-end designs.
" Interface with Engineering, Operations and Network Planning organizations to serve and support proper designs needed to simplify and modernize the legacy network.
" Track monthly Engineering and Operations progress to ensure progress is being made to achieve Open For Sales, Copper Migration and Switch shutdown targets.
" Sharing progress with leaders and other stakeholders with dashboards and reports.

MUST HAVE SKILLS:

Strategic & Analytical Thinking

  • Ability to assess network topology and identify consolidation opportunities
  • Cost-benefit analysis evaluating which sites/circuits to consolidate and when
  • Scenario planning modeling different consolidation sequences and their impact

Network & Infrastructure Knowledge

  • Deep understanding of network architecture (WAN, LAN, MPLS, SD-WAN, circuits)
  • Familiarity with facility types data centers, comms rooms, edge sites
  • Understanding of capacity planning and service dependencies

Data & Inventory Management

  • Ability to work with network inventory systems and asset registers
  • Identifying gaps, redundancies, and rationalization opportunities in circuit/equipment data
  • Proficiency in Excel/data tools for modeling and reporting



DESIRED SKILLS:

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Presenting consolidation recommendations to senior leadership
  • Aligning strategy with business goals across multiple departments
  • Managing pushback from teams resistant to site changes

Financial & Commercial Awareness

  • Understanding lease obligations, carrier contracts, and exit costs
  • Building business cases for consolidation decisions
  • Tracking realized savings against strategy targets

Vendor & Carrier Knowledge

  • Understanding carrier landscapes and contract structures
  • Identifying opportunities to renegotiate or exit unfavorable contracts



EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Network Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or Business or equivelant experiance
