    Description

    Network Operations Manager

    Duration: 9+ months

    Location: Onsite at Tallahassee, FL

    Responsibilities: 

    • Develop and implement standards, procedures, and processes for security and network operations.
    • Maintain consolidated statewide network operations and act as the network architect.
    • Provide MS Teams & SharePoint administration.
    • Maintain and upgrade patches, including spyware, malware, and anti-virus solutions.
    • Provide consultative support for all servers, both local and remote.
    • Support operating systems and applicable applications on servers and Windows Workstations.
    • Perform network troubleshooting as necessary.
    • Provide support for routers and switches.
    • Offer backup helpdesk support for security issues, including NTFS and share permissions.
    • Provide front line help desk support for network-related functions.
    • Monitor and troubleshoot Active Directory.
    • Configure and support network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, and VoIP systems.
    • Focus on security for all IT duties and responsibilities.
    • Manage and support the virtualized environment to ensure business continuity.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Establish IT strategy aligned with business objectives.
    • Responsible for network operations, data security, and secure software applications.
    • Plan and manage the support of new technologies, network performance, and reliability.
    • Oversee daily activities of IT security and network operations.

    Adaptability and Flexibility:

    • Ability to self-learn and adapt to different environments with minimal guidance.
    • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
    • Translate business language into technical specifications for non-technical staff.

    Office Tools:

    • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word; working knowledge of Microsoft Teams & SharePoint.
    • Excellent time management and ability to meet or exceed deadlines.
    • Team player willing to mentor other technical staff.
    • Experience managing network operations and service levels for data and voice networking equipment.
    • Experience with network architecture and advising on best practices.
    • Experience developing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing network hardware and software.
    • Experience resolving end-user network-related problems effectively and efficiently.
    • Experience with network and PC operating systems, DNS, Group Policies, Active Directory, and router configuration.
