Network Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Albuquerque, NM (Hybrid Flexibility with travel requirements)Responsibilities:

Design & Implementation: Evaluate, design, and implement network infrastructure with a focus on OSI Layer 2 and 3 protocols, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.Configuration & Management: Configure and manage switches, wireless access points, and routers to maintain efficient data flow across the network.Security: Implement and maintain security measures such as VLANs, ACLs, and firewall rules to protect network integrity and prevent unauthorized access.Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network issues promptly to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.Performance Monitoring: Monitor network performance, identify potential bottlenecks, and optimize network traffic for efficiency.Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, IP subnets, changes, and procedures for easy reference and compliance.Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams to integrate network solutions with other systems and applications, fostering a cohesive technological environment.Upgrades & Patches: Plan and execute network upgrades and patches, ensuring the latest features and security updates are applied.Compliance: Ensure network infrastructure meets industry standards and complies with relevant regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.A minimum of 5 years of experience working with networking equipment and related technologies.Extensive experience in multi-vendor firewall configuration, with Palo Alto experience preferred.Proficiency in configuring and managing multi-vendor switches and wireless solutions, with a preference for HPE, Aruba, and Cisco technologies.Strong working knowledge of IPv4, VLANs, routing protocols, NAT, VPNs, and other related network technologies.Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues effectively.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.

Compensation: $108k-$138k#LI-JS1 #LI-Hybrid
