We are seeking an experienced and strategic Network Infrastructure Director to lead the design, implementation, security, and operation of the organization's enterprise network infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring the stability, scalability, performance, and security of all network systems across corporate, cloud, and remote environments.

The Network Infrastructure Director will oversee network engineering, telecommunications, cloud infrastructure, VMware environments, data center connectivity, and infrastructure operations while driving modernization initiatives and ensuring alignment with business objectives.


Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and execute the organization's network and infrastructure strategy and roadmap
  • Lead enterprise infrastructure modernization initiatives including cloud and virtualization technologies
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance across all network and infrastructure environments
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on infrastructure planning, budgeting, and risk management

Network Operations & Engineering

  • Oversee enterprise LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, VPN, and cloud networking environments
  • Manage core network technologies including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and network monitoring systems
  • Ensure reliable connectivity between corporate offices, remote users, cloud platforms, VMware environments, and data centers
  • Lead troubleshooting and resolution of critical network and infrastructure issues

Cloud & VMware Infrastructure

  • Manage hybrid cloud and multi-cloud environments including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud
  • Oversee VMware infrastructure including vSphere, ESXi hosts, virtual networking, and storage environments
  • Support infrastructure automation, virtualization, backup, and disaster recovery strategies
  • Ensure optimal performance, scalability, and security across cloud and virtualized environments
  • Lead cloud migration and infrastructure transformation initiatives

Security & Compliance

  • Partner with Information Security teams to maintain secure network and infrastructure architecture
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and cybersecurity standards
  • Oversee network segmentation, access controls, vulnerability remediation, and infrastructure monitoring
  • Participate in incident response and infrastructure risk management activities

Team Management

  • Lead and manage network engineers, systems administrators, infrastructure personnel, and third-party vendors
  • Provide mentoring, technical guidance, and performance management
  • Establish operational procedures, documentation standards, and service level expectations
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement

Vendor & Project Management

  • Manage relationships with telecommunications providers, cloud vendors, hardware manufacturers, and service partners
  • Oversee infrastructure budgets, contracts, licensing, and procurement
  • Lead infrastructure-related projects from planning through implementation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive infrastructure and networking experience including leadership responsibilities
  • Strong skills in:
    • Enterprise networking
    • Routing and switching
    • Firewalls and network security
    • SD-WAN technologies
    • Wireless infrastructure
    • VMware virtualization platforms
    • Cloud infrastructure and networking
    • Data center operations
  • Experience managing enterprise cloud and VMware environments
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure monitoring, performance tuning, and high availability architectures

Preferred Certifications

  • Cisco CCNP or CCIE
  • VMware VCP Certification
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Advanced Networking
  • Azure Administrator or Azure Network Engineer Associate
  • CISSP (preferred)
  • ITIL Certification
