    Shift Hours

    • 9am-5pm day shift

    • ServiceNow experience is a plus.
    • Cisco installation and configuration experience.
    • LAN/WAN experience.
    • Avaya experience.
    • Port activation experience.
    • Switch configuration and firmware updates.
    • TCICP and LPS knowledge.
    • Routing protocols: BGP and OSPF.
    • Associate's or Bachelor's degree.

    Job Summary

    The Network Field Engineer provides technical support for LANs, WAN connections, network infrastructure, and application performance troubleshooting. This role is responsible for implementing new network functionality, supporting day-to-day network operations, participating in break/fix activities, and resolving complex network issues. The position works closely with infrastructure teams and end users to maintain network performance, reliability, security, and availability.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Monitor day-to-day operations of the data network within the assigned scope.

    • Provide technical assistance, troubleshooting, and resolution for network-related issues.

    • Support LAN, WAN, firewall, router, PC, and printer environments.

    • Recommend and assist with complex network upgrades, enhancements, and improvements.

    • Plan, implement, and engineer network solutions using Cisco equipment.

    • Troubleshoot network and application performance issues within an enterprise environment.

    • Work collaboratively with infrastructure teams and end users to identify and resolve complex problems.

    • Support installation, maintenance, and monitoring of network systems.

    • Participate in break/fix activities and new functionality deployments.

    • Apply advanced problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to resolve high-impact and cross-functional issues independently.

    • Maintain current knowledge of networking and security best practices.

    • Develop comprehensive network documentation using Microsoft Visio and related tools.

    • Participate in an on-call rotation.

    • Provide in-team mentoring and technical guidance as needed.

    Qualifications

    Required Skills & Experience

    • Minimum of 1-5 years of study toward Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.

    • 2-4 years of in-depth experience troubleshooting practical networking systems.

    • Strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, firewalls, routers, PCs, and printers.

    • Comprehensive understanding of network services and protocols, including TCP/IP, OSPF, and EIGRP.

    • Ability to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues, and implement effective solutions.

    • Ability to independently plan, implement, and engineer intermediate- to advanced-complexity network solutions using Cisco equipment.

    • Ability to create comprehensive technical documentation using Visio and related tools.

    • Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and analytical skills.

    • Ability to resolve complex technical issues independently.

    • Knowledge of networking and security best practices.

    • HIPAA knowledge preferred.

    • In-team mentoring experience preferred.

    • Strong communication, customer service, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a team environment.

    • Self-directed, flexible, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning.

    Required Certification & Licensure

    • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).

    Working Conditions

    Position may be based in a hospital or ambulatory/mobile imaging setting. Exposure to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and infectious diseases is possible with appropriate safety precautions. Position may require assisting with patient transfers and moving equipment.
