Summary: 

• Designs and plans network communications systems.

• Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.

• Provides detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools.

• Develops solutions that meet current and future capacity requirements.

• Conducts testing of network designs.

• Maintains technical expertise in network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing.

• Works with routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, and gateways.

• Evaluates new communications technologies to enhance network capabilities.

• Reports on new communications technologies and their potential network enhancements.

• Applies capacity planning to meet present and future business network needs.

Requirements:

• Active Top Secret Security Clearance required to start.

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

• Experience designing and planning network communications systems.

• Experience providing specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.

• Experience selecting network hardware and software and defining implementation techniques and tools.

• Experience conducting testing of network designs.

• Knowledge of routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, and gateways.

• Experience with network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing.

• Experience evaluating new communications technologies for network capability enhancements.

• Experience reporting on new communications technologies.

• Experience incorporating present and future capacity requirements into network solutions.
