Eligibility/Clearance: This role will require you to obtain and maintain a Public Trust and will require you to provide onsite fingerprinting at a designated facility. This investigation may review personal and criminal behavior, financial conduct, foreign influence, as well as other adjudications.
This position has a U.S. residency requirement. The USPS security clearance process requires the selected candidate to have resided in the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for the last five years as follows: U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 6 months consecutively in the last 3 years (unless they meet certain exceptions). Non-U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 90 days consecutively in the last 3 years.
Looking for a Network Engineer/Security Specialist to support the Network Connectivity Platform (NCP) team to provide network technologies and infrastructure support ensuring always on, always available systems to our employees, customers, and for 32K sites.
The Network Engineer/Security Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining proxy solutions to manage network traffic efficiently. You will ensure proper monitoring and optimization in maintaining a secure, efficient, and reliable network infrastructure through your expertise in proxy server technologies and network security practices.

Desired Skills: Experience with APIs, scripting, and Splunk data flows. Preferred Perl, python and JavaScript. Strong understanding of HTTP proxy including circuit gateways (generic proxies). Proficient with application layer protocols – HTTP, SSH, SSL, etc. Location: Raleigh, NC – Hybrid – 4 days in the office, 1 day remote – Will consider remote based on qualifications
