Job Description:
Designs, implements, supports, and optimizes campus, data center, wireless, and WAN networks supporting hospital, clinic, research, and business operations. Ensures reliable, secure, and monitored connectivity for clinical systems and end users. Level I scope: Entry / associate resource; supervised execution.
Core responsibilities:
- Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain routers, switches, wireless controllers/Client, load balancers, DNS/DHCP/IPAM, and network monitoring tools.
- Analyze capacity, latency, availability, utilization, segmentation, and resiliency requirements.
- Support incidents, changes, network upgrades, lifecycle replacements, and major event readiness.
- Document network designs, standards, diagrams, configurations, and operating procedures.
- Collaborate with security, infrastructure, telecom, cloud, application, and vendor teams to resolve cross-domain issues.
Level expectations:
- Performs routine activities using defined runbooks and SOPs, resolves low-complexity requests, documents outcomes, and escalates issues with complete troubleshooting detail.
Skills/Experience:
- LAN/WAN/WLAN, routing/switching, TCP/IP, firewalls basics, monitoring, troubleshooting, documentation, change management, and healthcare availability requirements.
- Cisco for router/switch, Juniper Mist for wireless.
