IDR is seeking a Network Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Fort Worth, Texas. This role involves supporting and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure within a municipal IT environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, configuring, and troubleshooting advanced network systems to ensure secure and reliable connectivity across various platforms.
Position Overview for the Network Engineer:
- Support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure in a municipal setting
- Design, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco routing, switching, and wireless environments
- Manage security protocols using Palo Alto firewalls and Aruba NAC
- Support high-availability application delivery with F5 load balancers and VPNs
- Oversee cellular connectivity and failover solutions, including Cradlepoint systems
- Act as Tier 3 technical lead to resolve complex network and security issues
Requirements for the Network Engineer:
- 10+ years of Network Engineering experience with strong hands-on enterprise network design, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Strong experience with Cisco Catalyst/Nexus, VLANs, routing protocols, and Spanning Tree
- Hands-on Palo Alto firewalls (PAN-OS) including security policies/profiles, NAT rules, and SSL decryption
- Strong F5 BIG-IP (LTM/GTM/SSL Orchestration) experience plus Aruba Wi-Fi and ClearPass NAC
- Experience with Cisco Meraki Dashboard and Cradlepoint NetCloud for network management and cellular failover
