Network Engineer

As a Network Engineer, you will design, configure, and maintain enterprise switching and routing infrastructure, operating independently on well-defined initiatives while collaborating within a broader engineering team. The information obtained will be kept confidential and may only be used in accordance with the provisions of applicable laws, executive orders, and regulations, including those that require the information to be summarized and reported to the federal government for civil rights enforcement.

IDR is seeking a Network Engineer. The role is based in Eau Claire, Wisconsin (Hybrid). As a Network Engineer, you will design, configure, and maintain enterprise switching and routing infrastructure, operating independently on well-defined initiatives while collaborating within a broader engineering team. The position combines hands-on technical work with teamwork and communication.

Position Overview for the Network Engineer:

• Design, configure, and maintain enterprise switching and routing infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues at OSI model Layers 13.
• Configure and install Cisco switches Catalyst C9000 series.
• Configure and install Cisco routers Catalyst C8000 series.
• Deploy equipment at both access layer and distribution layer.

Requirements for the Network Engineer:

• Minimum of 2 years of professional technical work experience with a bachelors degree in a technical discipline.
• Strong working knowledge of the OSI model, specifically Layers 13 (Physical, Data Link, Network).
• Hands-on experience configuring and installing Cisco switches Catalyst C9000 series.
• Hands-on experience configuring and installing Cisco routers Catalyst C8000 series.
• Experience deploying equipment at both the access layer and distribution layer.

65-68/hour
