Required Background and Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of design, implementation, and operational experience in large-scale IP networks.
JUNOS CLI experience.
Must have large-scale experience with routing devices MX, PTX, and ACX.
An understanding of the protocols surrounding IP service provider networks. These skills include but are not limited to:
TCP/IP and MPLS fundamentals
IP/Routing experience (OSPF, ISIS, BGP, MPLS-TE, RSVP, LDP, IPv6, Routing Policy)
Routing protocol operation, migration, and scaling mechanisms
Routing policies at BGP peering points
VPNs and the associated tunneling technologies (MPLS, L3VPN, VPLS, MVPN.)
Ethernet switching and 802.1Q, QoS
Class of service
Background in automation with Ansible, YAML, and HPE Juniper PyEZ.
Experience writing automation scripts in Python.
Ability to communicate effectively in crises with all levels of an organization from Engineering/Operations to CIO/CISO audiences.
Ability to refine and translate complex requirements and execute best practice solutions.
Assisted with major network upgrades, maintenance windows, and changes in the customer network.
Strong customer interface and presentation skills.
Other tasks and duties as needed to support the customer and/or business.
Expert-level technical certifications (JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE, CCNP, and CCIE) are a strong plus.
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or other Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
Typically 6-10 years experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
Using and evaluating appropriate engineering design tools and software packages to design components and solutions.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Conducting reviews of material specifications and hardware, software, and electrical component design.
Evaluating forms of empirical analysis, modeling and testing methodologies to validate product designs and specifications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language. Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at senior management levels.
