Requirements
- 13 years or more of IT experience, including 8 years or more supporting enterprise VMware and SAN environments.
- Proficiency in VMware ESX administration, virtualization infrastructure, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
- Experience with Windows Server 2012/2016/2019, server operating systems, network hardware, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Experience with PowerShell, network security, encryption, disaster recovery, failover, NIST, PCI, and IRS Publication 1075 environments.
- Experience in government environments, including 3 years or more supporting federal, state, or local government technology operations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, maintain, and support VMware solutions and enterprise server infrastructure.
- Monitor and optimize virtual environments, server infrastructure, networked systems, security, and system availability.
- Install, configure, test, upgrade, and troubleshoot system hardware, applications, virtualization platforms, and supporting software.
- Analyze infrastructure capacity and performance to recommend scalable technical solutions and system improvements.
- Support disaster recovery and failover operations while resolving infrastructure incidents within established service levels.
- Create deployment designs, operational procedures, support documentation, and technical troubleshooting records.
