    Description

    IDR is seeking a Network Engineer. The role is based in Austin, Minnesota, with a hybrid work schedule. In this position, you will design, configure, and maintain enterprise switching and routing infrastructure. It combines hands-on technical work with collaboration within a broader engineering team, requiring proactive communication and thorough documentation.

    Position Overview for the Network Engineer:

    • Design, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise networking infrastructure, including switches and routers.
    • Install and configure Cisco Catalyst C9000 series switches and Cisco Catalyst C8000 series routers.
    • Operate independently on well-defined initiatives while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
    • Maintain documentation for network configurations, troubleshooting steps, and system standards.
    • Support deployment of equipment at both access and distribution layers, including deploying at well-defined areas.

    Requirements for the Network Engineer:

    • 2+ years of professional technical work experience in networking.
    • Bachelors degree in a technical discipline or equivalent professional experience.
    • Strong working knowledge of the OSI model, specifically Layers 13.
    • Hands-on experience configuring and installing Cisco switches (Catalyst C9000 series).
    • Hands-on experience configuring and installing Cisco routers (Catalyst C8000 series).
