Overview
We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer with deep expertise in F5 Load Balancers to support and enhance a large-scale enterprise network environment. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, optimizing, and supporting critical network infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on F5 technologies, network security, automation, and cloud connectivity.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with F5 LTM and GTM, strong Palo Alto firewall knowledge, and solid Cisco networking expertise. This individual will work across engineering, operations, security, and application teams to maintain highly available, secure, and scalable network services.
Candidates must possess strong hands-on F5 experience. Applicants without significant F5 expertise will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure and application delivery solutions.
- Administer and optimize F5 Local Traffic Manager (LTM) and Global Traffic Manager (GTM/DNS) environments.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain load balancing services for mission-critical applications.
- Manage and support Palo Alto firewall infrastructure, including security policy implementation and optimization.
- Support Cisco routing and switching environments across enterprise networks.
- Participate in network architecture, capacity planning, performance tuning, and scalability initiatives.
- Troubleshoot complex network, load balancing, and application delivery issues.
- Collaborate with security, cloud, and infrastructure teams to ensure secure and resilient network operations.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure automation solutions using Terraform, Ansible, and related tools.
- Support cloud networking environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
- Participate in change management, incident response, and vendor engagement activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of experience in Network Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering.
- Expert-level experience with:
- F5 Local Traffic Manager (LTM)
- F5 Global Traffic Manager (GTM/DNS)
- Strong experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
- Advanced knowledge of Cisco routing and switching.
- Experience designing and supporting highly available enterprise network environments.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, DNS, TCP/IP, routing, switching, and security best practices.
- Experience with network performance monitoring, capacity planning, and infrastructure optimization.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
