Amazon.com is looking for best-in-class Network Engineers to drive the deployment, scaling and automation of one of the world's largest and complex networks: the AWS Direct Connect service - the service that connects AWS to our largest customers in data centers around the world. These connections help to reduce network costs, increase bandwidth throughput, and provide a more consistent network experience than Internet-based connections. AWS Direct Connect is currently available in more than 100 locations, which span nearly 70 cities in 30 different countries.

As a Network Development Engineer you will:
A day in the life
We work with internal partners to develop and implement the next gen platforms
along with the tooling ecosystems to support with these platforms driving efficiency and scalability
through the automation of builds, configuration deployment, and the scaling of capacity. As our
network is one of the largest in the world, there is no blue print at our scale allowing our engineers to
develop solutions to the complex challenges that we face daily. We encourage durable solutions that
look around corners while taking into consideration our customer needs from a cost, performance, and
reliability perspective. Our team develops tooling that provides the required visibility and control of
traffic across the network, while prioritizing the automatic mitigation of events to minimize the impact
to our customers during events.
