    Job Summary

    This position provides specialized support for the Colleges network, audio video, and classroom technology systems. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, maintaining technology infrastructure, supporting campus events, and providing technical assistance to faculty, staff, and students.

    Responsibilities

    1 -

    • Supports the Chief Systems Engineer in maintaining and troubleshooting network and classroom technology systems.

    2 -

    • Provides immediate technology assistance to faculty in the classroom.

    3 -

    • Provide direct customer service and support to all technology users.

    4 -

    • Provides audio, video, networking, and technology support for campus events and special programs.

    5 -

    • Maintain and organize classroom equipment supplies: projector lamps, cables, connectors, etc.

    6 -

    • Train, schedule and supervisors student workers.

    7 -

    • Maintains system and content of digital signage.

    8 -

    • Assists with Helpdesk duties as required.

    9 -

    • Performs related work as required.

    Required Qualifications

    Educational Requirements

    • Associate degree

    Other Required Qualifications

    • Must possess a current valid driver license with acceptable driving record and pass a yearly Motor Vehicle Report review.

    Required Experience

    • More than three years of related experience

    Preferred Qualifications

    Preferred Educational Qualifications

    • Baccalaureate degree in Computer Information Technology or of study related to the occupational field

    Preferred Experience

    • Experience with Extron/Crestron technology.
    • Experience filming and/or streaming live video broadcasts.

    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

    KNOWLEDGE

    • Knowledge of current data network technologies.
    • Knowledge of current information technology trends and solutions.
    • Knowledge of computer hardware, software and peripheral devices.
    • Knowledge of AV technologies.
    • Knowledge of wired and wireless networking concepts.

    SKILLS

    • Skill in the provision of customer services.
    • Skill in the administration of network services including switch and router management.
    • Skill in the analysis of problems and the development and implementation of solutions.
    • Skill in oral and written communication.
