Description
Position Overview: Our client is seeking a Network Architect to lead the design, strategy, and technical governance of their network program initiatives. This role owns the architectural direction across routing, switching, and wireless infrastructure while partnering with engineering leadership, operations, and third-party resources to define standards, close systemic gaps, and ensure all deployments are built to scale and sustainably documented. The Network Architect serves as the senior technical authority across all program workstreams.
Responsibilities:
Define network architecture standards for routing, switching, and wireless across enterprise-scale deployments.
Lead technical design reviews and own the blueprint for how network devices are configured, validated, and brought into production.
Establish and govern change control frameworks, onboarding workflows, and configuration standards across the program.
Drive hardware readiness strategy, from procurement through staging to go-live, ensuring project data accuracy and full traceability.
Own escalation and resolution of complex engineering issues, including those coordinated with the customer's third-party partners.
Provide technical direction and oversight to engineering teams, ensuring work is well-scoped, properly assigned, and executed to standard.

Define wireless documentation standards, including floor plan and AutoCAD artifact governance, and ensure accuracy across all active deployments.

Identify systemic process gaps and drive cross-functional solutions in partnership with project and operations leadership.
Serve as the senior technical liaison to downstream partners, including wireless deployment teams, electrical teams, and managed service providers
Qualifications:
Required:
Deep expertise in enterprise routing and switching; ability to design, validate, and govern network architecture at scale.
Proven experience leading network design and implementation across large, multi-site programs.
Experience with wireless architecture and documentation standards (floor plans, AutoCAD).
Ability to establish technical standards, governance frameworks, and documentation practices.
Experience designing and defining change control and project delivery processes.
Strong communication skills; able to represent technical strategy clearly to engineering, operations, and managed-service stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to provide technical oversight and hold third-party partners accountable to deliverables.
Background managing technical relationships with managed service providers at a leadership level.
Experience driving enterprise-scale network refresh or deployment programs end-to-end.
Ability to bridge technical architecture and program delivery in a matrixed environment.
