Job Title: NetSuite Systems Analyst

The Elevator Pitch

Do you get a quiet satisfaction when a clunky manual process gets replaced by a system that just works? Are you the person who sits in a Finance all-hands, spots a workflow that makes no sense, and immediately starts thinking about how to fix it permanently — not just for today? Do you want real ownership of enterprise-critical systems, the creative latitude to redesign what’s broken, and a team that takes ERP craft seriously?

Evolv is on a mission to make public spaces safer through innovative security technology — and the systems that run our business are just as important as the products we build. As our NetSuite Systems Analyst, you’ll be the go-to expert for our ERP environment: configuring, optimizing, and extending NetSuite to support a fast-moving, scaling company. You’ll partner closely with Finance, Accounting, Operations, and IT to translate business needs into reliable, well-built system solutions.

This is not a “ticket-taker” role. You’ll be expected to understand the business deeply, proactively surface gaps, and drive improvements before anyone has to ask. You’ll report directly to the VP of IT and carry meaningful influence over how the platform evolves. If you take pride in building systems that scale, enjoy untangling complex business processes, and want your work to leave a lasting mark — this is your role.

Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

In the first 30 days, you will:

  • Get up to speed on Evolv’s NetSuite environment: its configuration, customizations, integrations, open issues, and technical debt.
  • Build working relationships with key stakeholders across Finance, Accounting, Operations, and IT.
  • Contribute to active support and configuration work from day one — you won’t be warming a bench.
  • Identify your first opportunities to improve or simplify something and share your early observations with the team.

Within 3 months, you will:

  • Demonstrate thorough working knowledge of Evolv’s NetSuite configuration, workflows, and third-party integrations.
  • Own the day-to-day administration of the platform including fielding requests, resolving issues, and managing changes with rigor while ensuring SOX compliance.
  • Build trust with Finance and Operations as a reliable, business-savvy technical partner.
  • Deliver a new workflow, a saved search consolidation or a customization fix that makes someone’s job measurably easier and less error-prone.
  • Contribute to documentation and configuration standards that raise the bar for how the platform is managed.

By the end of the first year, you will:

  • Be recognized across Finance, Accounting, Operations, and IT as the authoritative internal resource for all things NetSuite.
  • Have delivered multiple system improvements that reduce manual effort, improve data quality, or enable new business capabilities.
  • Have expanded or meaningfully optimized at least one NetSuite module — whether that’s SuiteAnalytics, a new workflow suite, a third-party integration, or a SuiteScript customization.
  • Lead or support at least one data migration or system transition, bringing clean, validated data into NetSuite with minimal disruption to the business.
  • Contribute ideas and observations toward a forward-looking view of platform needs, in collaboration with the VP of IT.
  • Ensure the platform remains stable, secure, and compliant as Evolv scales

The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

NetSuite Administration & Configuration

  • Own day-to-day NetSuite administration, including user management, roles and permissions, saved searches, reports, dashboards, and transaction forms.
  • Configure and maintain NetSuite records, fields, forms, and workflows to reflect evolving business requirements.
  • Manage system updates, sandbox/production release cycles, and environment stability across NetSuite versions.
  • Maintain clear documentation of system configurations, customizations, data models, and change history.

Customization & Development

  • Evaluate and work with existing SuiteScript customizations; engage developers or vendors when scripting work is needed.
  • Create and manage SuiteFlow / Workflow Manager automations that reduce manual steps and enforce business rules.
  • Build and maintain custom records, fields, saved searches, and advanced PDF/HTML templates as needed.
  • Evaluate enhancement requests against native NetSuite capabilities and recommend the right-sized solution.

Integrations & Data Management

  • Serve as the business-side point of contact for NetSuite integrations with other internal systems; triage issues and coordinate with IT or vendors on resolution.
  • Troubleshoot integration errors and data discrepancies; partner with vendors or IT to resolve root causes.
  • Lead or support data migrations — scoping, mapping, validating, and importing data between systems with accuracy and auditability.
  • Monitor data quality and implement governance practices to keep NetSuite records accurate and trustworthy.

Business Partnering & Project Delivery

  • Serve as the primary technical liaison between Finance, Accounting, Operations, and the ERP platform.
  • Gather and document enhancement requests; communicate clearly with stakeholders about status and timing.
  • Lead or support NetSuite module expansions, process redesigns, or new capability rollouts end-to-end.
  • Train end users on new features, workflows, and best practices; develop resources that reduce recurring support requests.

Monitoring, Compliance & Support

  • Monitor system health, scheduled scripts, workflows, and integrations for errors or performance degradation.
  • Serve as the first line of escalation for complex NetSuite issues and act as the internal expert during audits or compliance reviews.
  • Ensure the platform remains compliant with internal controls, data privacy standards, and any applicable regulatory requirements (including SOX where relevant).
  • Stay current on NetSuite release notes, evaluate new capabilities, and bring adoption recommendations to the VP of IT.

What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team?

You will be joining the Cybersecurity and IT organization and will report directly to the VP of IT, sitting at the intersection of technology and finance operations. Your day-to-day stakeholders will be leaders and practitioners across Finance, Accounting, and Operations — people who depend on the platform to do their jobs well and who will recognize and appreciate the impact you have.

This is an individual contributor role with real ownership. You’ll be expected to drive the platform forward independently, surface issues before they become problems, and bring recommendations — not just questions — to your manager. The VP of IT values initiative, trusts the team to execute, and wants to hear your ideas about where the platform should go next.

Evolv’s culture rewards people who take initiative, communicate proactively, and care about quality. You’ll find teammates who are genuinely invested in each other’s success and a company that takes its mission seriously. Routine help desk work is not part of this role — your focus is the platform, the business relationships, and the roadmap.

Where is the role located?

This role is based out of Evolv HQ in Waltham, Massachusetts. This is a hybrid role with an expectation of 3 days per week on-site. Fully remote candidates will not be considered.

  • Solid understanding of core NetSuite modules: Financial Management (Core ERP), Advanced Financials, Advanced Revenue Management (ARM), Fixed Assets Management (FAM), and OneWorld.
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite’s ARM (Advanced Revenue Management) and SuiteBilling modules.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of translating complex business requirements into clean, maintainable system solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills — you can explain a technical fix to a CFO and a workflow design to a developer.
  • Self-directed and highly organized; able to manage a queue of requests while staying ahead of system health and proactively identifying risks.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with SuiteScript 2.x or SuiteFlow / Workflow Manager; ability to read, evaluate, and extend existing customizations.
  • Experience supporting or coordinating NetSuite integrations with other business systems.
  • NetSuite Administrator Certification or SuiteFoundation Certification.
  • Experience planning and executing NetSuite data migrations — including data mapping, transformation logic, validation testing, and cutover coordination.

  • Experience managing a NetSuite implementation or module rollout as a system owner.
  • Exposure to REST/SOAP-based integration patterns and NetSuite’s SuiteCloud platform.
  • Experience in a SaaS, technology, or growth-stage company environment.
  • Experience supporting SOX compliance within an ERP environment — including audit evidence preparation, internal controls documentation, and working with auditors.
  • Prior experience at a public company or in a pre-IPO environment where financial controls, auditability, and system governance are held to a high standard.
