NetSuite- Staff Accountant
Location: Rochester, IN| Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM | Salary: $62,400 -$72,800
Position Overview
Our client, a manufacturing organization in Rochester, IN, is seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on Staff Accountant to assist with account reconciliations, financial cleanup, and month-end accounting activities.
Key Responsibilities
Perform intercompany, general ledger, and balance sheet account reconciliations.
Reconcile subledger balances to the general ledger, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
Review historical transactions and assist with outstanding accounting cleanup.
Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and other month-end adjustments.
Support fixed asset accounting, including depreciation, amortization, and prepaid expenses.
Research financial discrepancies and trace transactions through the ERP system.
Review opening balances and transactions related to the SAP-to-NetSuite transition.
Assist with month-end close activities and financial reporting accuracy.
Collaborate with the Accounting Manager to prioritize outstanding work and meet deadlines.
Required Qualifications
Previous accounting experience, preferably within manufacturing or a similar environment.
Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
Experience researching discrepancies and tracing financial transactions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including working with large data sets.
Experience using an ERP or accounting software system.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently, adapt quickly, and take initiative with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred experience with NetSuite or SAP ERP systems
Manufacturing accounting experience.
Previous involvement in accounting cleanup, ERP transitions, or financial system conversions.
Experience with intercompany reconciliations and fixed asset accounting.
