ROLE SUMMARY

The NetSuite Administrator is a core member of the IT team, responsible for the administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Quests NetSuite ERP platform. The role serves as the primary point of accountability for NetSuite system availability, security, and performance, ensuring the platform reliably supports the operational and financial needs of the business.

The NetSuite Administrator works closely with business users and functional stakeholders to maximize utilization of NetSuites delivered features and functionality, applying a solid understanding of accounting principles and business best practices to translate operational needs into effective system solutions. Beyond day-to-day administration, the role carries project management responsibility - leading platform updates, customizations, and system integrations with other Quest applications from scoping through delivery.

The role also partners with business stakeholders to develop test scripts, coordinate test execution, and support end user training, ensuring that system changes and enhancements are adopted effectively across the organization.

ROLE COMPETENCIES

  • Stakeholder Partnership & Requirements Translation: Partners with key stakeholders across Accounting, Finance, Operations, and Sales to understand business needs and translate functional requirements into effective NetSuite solutions. Maintains a strong working knowledge of accounting, business, and SOX best practices and applies that understanding to system design and configuration decisions.
  • Platform Administration & System Maintenance: Manages the ongoing maintenance, updates, testing, and delivery of the NetSuite environment. Responsible for system availability, security administration, and the build, configuration, and troubleshooting of software enhancements, application deployments, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • System Support & Enhancement Management: Provides ongoing technical support to business users and manages the prioritization and resolution of support and enhancement requests. Serves as the primary point of contact for platform issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution that minimizes business disruption.
  • Integration & Data Management: Builds and maintains integrations between NetSuite and other Quest systems to ensure the scalability, accuracy, and completeness of data flowing into and out of the platform. Ensures data consistency and integrity across connected systems.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Leverages SuiteAnalytics to develop Saved Searches, reports, and dashboards that provide business users with timely and accurate operational and financial data. Supports the broader BI strategy through experience with Power Apps and Power BI where applicable.
  • Workflow & Automation Development: Utilizes SuiteFlow and SuiteScript to design and implement workflow automation that improves operational efficiency, reduces manual effort, and increases the overall return on investment of the NetSuite platform.
  • Project Management & Delivery: Acts as project manager for NetSuite and Accounting/Finance-related initiatives, leading projects from requirements capture through production delivery. Responsibilities include building test cases, coordinating test execution, completing required documentation, and managing timelines and stakeholder communication throughout the project lifecycle.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of five years of experience managing NetSuite projects and platform administration.
  • Solid understanding of IT application technologies, ERP systems, and NetSuite modules as they relate to business objectives.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field preferred.
  • NetSuite SuiteFoundation and/or Administrator Certification preferred.
  • Preferred experience with Agile, Scrum, or DevOps methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite configuration, SuiteFlow, SuiteScript, and SuiteAnalytics.
  • Experience building and managing system integrations between NetSuite and third-party or internal platforms.
  • Strong project management skills, including requirements capture, test case development, and production delivery coordination.
  • Experience with Power Apps and Power BI.
  • Maintains current knowledge of NetSuite platform updates, new features, and emerging capabilities, proactively identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, and return on investment.
  • Manages competing priorities and deadlines effectively, maintaining quality and responsiveness across concurrent support requests, enhancement work, and project deliverables.
  • Communicates clearly and professionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, adapting style and detail level to the audience.
