We are seeking an experienced NetApp Storage Engineer to join our Infrastructure Pipeline Team. This role will focus on the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise storage environments supporting critical business applications across on-premises and cloud platforms.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise with NetApp ONTAP environments and demonstrate strong troubleshooting, automation, and infrastructure integration skills. This individual will play a key role in technology refresh initiatives, platform upgrades, configuration management, migration projects, and the implementation of new storage capabilities across the enterprise.

NETAPP PROFESSIONAL SERVICE CONSULTANTS AT TSP TYPICALLY HAVE THE FOLLOWING JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Storage Infrastructure Administration

• Administer and support large-scale NetApp storage environments consisting of approximately 80 ONTAP FAS, AFF, and C-Series nodes

• Manage and maintain ONTAP 9.15.1+ environments across multiple data center locations

• Support Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP (FSxN) deployments and participate in cloud storage expansion initiatives

• Perform storage provisioning, performance tuning, capacity management, upgrades, and lifecycle management activities

• Support StorageGRID environments, including upgrades and operational maintenance of multi-site object storage platforms

• Project Implementation and Engineering

• Participate on the Infrastructure Pipeline Team responsible for:

• Technology refresh initiatives

• Storage platform upgrades

• Configuration changes

• New feature implementation, including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Multi-Admin Verification (MAV), and other security enhancements

• Support data center migration efforts and large-scale infrastructure transformation projects

• Assist with storage architecture planning and implementation across on-premises and cloud environments

• Automation and Operational Excellence

• Develop and maintain infrastructure automation using Ansible and NetApp automation frameworks

• Leverage NetApp management and monitoring tools to improve operational efficiency and visibility

• Support monitoring, alerting, and incident management integrations utilizing:

• Data Infrastructure Insights (DII)

• Active IQ Unified Manager (AIQUM)

• ServiceNow

• Virtualization and Data Protection

• Support storage integration with virtualized environments, including:

• VMware vSphere

• VMware SRM/SRA environments

• OpenNebula (future-state platform)

• Support NetApp data protection solutions including:

• SnapCenter Server

• SnapCenter for SQL Server

• SnapCenter for Oracle

• SnapCenter Plug-in for VMware (SCV)

• Assist with storage migration initiatives utilizing NetApp Shift Toolkit and related technologies

• Technical Support and Collaboration

• Respond to ad hoc requests from storage team members supporting active projects and operational initiatives

• Troubleshoot complex storage, infrastructure, networking, and compute integration issues

• Collaborate with infrastructure, server, virtualization, cloud, and networking teams to deliver enterprise solutions

• Provide technical guidance and recommendations for storage best practices and platform improvements

THE IDEAL PERSON FOR THIS ROLE WILL HAVE EXPERIENCE SUCH AS:

• 5+ years of experience administering enterprise NetApp storage environments
• Strong expertise with NetApp ONTAP, including FAS, AFF, and C-Series platforms
• Experience performing storage upgrades, migrations, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management
• Hands-on experience with Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP (FSxN) or comparable cloud storage technologies
• Experience supporting VMware environments and storage integrations.
• Knowledge of enterprise backup and recovery solutions
• Experience with infrastructure automation using Ansible or similar automation frameworks
• Strong understanding of storage networking, data center infrastructure, and systems integration
• Ability to troubleshoot complex cross-functional issues involving storage, compute, networking, and virtualization platforms

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with StorageGRID administration
• Experience with Active IQ Unified Manager (AIQUM)
• Experience with Data Infrastructure Insights (DII)
• Experience integrating infrastructure monitoring with ServiceNow
• Familiarity with NetApp OTV, Harvest, and NAbox
• Experience supporting VMware SRM/SRA environments
• Experience evaluating or supporting OpenNebula environments
• NetApp certifications preferred
