NETA III/IV Field Service Technician
Location: Omaha, NE
Schedule: Full-Time

Overview:
Performs field service work on electrical power systems across industrial and commercial environments. This role focuses on testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and diagnostics across low to extra-high voltage systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel to customer sites to inspect, test, troubleshoot, commission, and collect data on electrical power systems (480V through EHV)
  • Perform testing and diagnostics on transformers, relays, cable systems, switchgear, and circuit breakers
  • Conduct relay calibration and power metering on moderately complex systems
  • Troubleshoot automatic transfer switches and related control systems
  • Support emergency response through on-call rotation
  • Travel regionally with occasional overnight assignments

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree in Electrical Power, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • NETA Level III or IV certification (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in electrical testing and troubleshooting
  • Strong knowledge of switchgear and power system diagnostics
  • Proficiency with standard computer tools (e.g., Excel, reporting software)
  • Solid understanding of electrical safety practices and standards
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and physical requirements
  • Ability to travel regionally, including overnight assignments
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and emergency call-outs
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Preferred:

  • OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, CPR/First Aid certifications
  • Experience in industrial or utility environments
  • TWIC card or passport
