Reporting to the Operartions Manager, we are looking for a NERC Compliance Manager based in Houston, Texas. On-Site
The selected professional will ensure that X-Elios US operating projects comply with NERC, CIP, and applicable FERC requirements and Regional Entity criteria related to Bulk Electric Systems, while coordinating responses to ISOs including ERCOT, MISO, PJM and WECC.
What will you do
Regulatory Compliance and Reporting
Act as the NERC and ERCOT representative for all assets in operation as CIP Senior Manager, requiring strong hands-on experience in NERC compliance execution, including program development, regulatory submissions, audits and day-to-day operational compliance management.
Manage NERC registration processes, maintain monthly and annual reports, and respond to regulatory requests.
Respond to ERCOT requests related to reliability and grid control for assets in operation.
Manage NERC GO O&P program development, annual compliance program management, GADS registration and EIA reporting.
Oversee NERC compliance assessments, audits, PRC-028 and PRC-029 evaluations.
Manage PUC compliance, REC compliance, and Emergency Operations Plan filing, drills and seasonal preparedness declarations to ERCOT.
Register X-Elio projects as ERCOT Registered Entities and manage all ERCOT Market Notices and RARF updates.
Maintain accurate records and legal documentation for audits and regulatory authorities.
What do we need
Qualifications
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Renewable Energy, or similar.
Experience
10 years of experience in utility-scale electrical generation, with at least 2 years in a direct NERC compliance role.
Technical Knowledge
PV systems and BESS technologies.
Electrical system operation: grid operation, interconnection agreements, BESS operation, voltage and frequency control.
NERC, FERC and ERCOT standards, regulation and requirements.
Auditing processes and documentation control.
Regulatory risks and US energy market.
Skills
Accountability and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Ability to work under pressure and coordinate sub-contractors to meet deadlines.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
