St. Josephs Health is seeking a licensed and certified NNP, PNP or Neonatal PA to join our Level III NICU team in Syracuse, NY for a part-time opportunity. This advanced practice role offers experienced NNPs or PNPs to work in a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) that is equipped and staffed 24 hours a day to provide newborns from the Syracuse and surrounding areas critical care. We are seeking a compassionate Provider open to working 12-hour shifts per week seeking to deliver high acuity care while enjoying excellent benefits and long-term professional growth.
Position Details:
- Provide direct neonatal care including:
- History and physical exams
- Daily rounds
- Ordering labs, imaging, and medications
- Discharge planning
- Patient and family education
- Manage neonatal ventilation and participate in ongoing care coordination
- Perform advanced NICU procedures including:
- Intubations
- Chest tube placement
- Umbilical line placement
- Vent management
- Collaborate with Neonatologists, Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, Neonatology Nurse Practitioners, and the broader NICU team
- Part-time Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 2 shifts per week

Qualifications:
- Licensed Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Neonatal Physician Assistant
- Current NYS license
- Neonatology experience required
- Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Commitment to high-quality neonatal care and family-centered practice
Compensation:
- Competitive salary range: $140,000 to $160,000 (prorated for part-time hours)
- The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include potential productivity bonuses, quality performance incentives, or other forms of cash compensation. Compensation may vary based on qualifications, experience, and market factors in accordance with State law.
