    How you'll make an impact in this role

    This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated physician to join a busy, well-respected practice, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network.

    • Join an established team of 5 neonatologists and a highly-trained multidisciplinary NICU support team
    • Call structure: 1:5 with plan to move to an NNP Program with 4 NEO and NNP's covering night call
    • Practice setting: Inpatient (Level III NICU)
    • Access to a 32-bed unit equipped with advanced therapeutic modalities (therapeutic hypothermia, jet ventilation, high-frequency oscillatory ventilation, and NAVA), a dedicated NICU Transport Team, and robust pediatric subspecialty support
    • Employed position within a nonprofit health system
    • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
    • Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration
    • Provide advanced clinical management for critically ill newborns within a state-of-the-art Level III NICU, collaborating closely with a comprehensive maternal-fetal medicine program and dedicated hospital-based pediatric subspecialists.
    • Actively participate in regional clinical quality improvement (QI) initiatives and lead the intermittent clinical education and training of medical and physician assistant students.
    • Fellowship training in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine required

    • 54-bed regional pediatric and neonatal inpatient center (including a 32-bed NICU, 15-bed Pediatric Inpatient Unit, and 7-bed PICU)
    • Level II Pediatric Trauma Verification
    • Serving a population of approximately 300,000 in the greater Evansville metropolitan area
    • Integrated referral network featuring an established Pediatric Specialty Clinic, comprehensive OB service line, and a regional perinatal footprint averaging 1,400 deliveries annually

    What minimum requirements you'll need

    Licensure / Certification / Registration:

    • Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
    • Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

    Education:

    • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
