Position Highlights
Level III NICU providing advanced neonatal critical care in an inpatient setting.
24-hour shift schedule offering a condensed work schedule and excellent work-life balance.
Work alongside experienced Neonatologists and Neonatal NPs in a collaborative, team-based environment.
Manage approximately 16 patients per shift with support from RNs, Social Workers, and additional APPs.
Broad scope of practice including:
High-risk deliveries and neonatal resuscitation
Hospital admissions and inpatient rounding
Critical care procedures (intubations, lumbar punctures, arterial/umbilical line placement, chest tubes, bladder taps)
Ventilator management
Cooling therapies (body/head cooling)
iNO therapy
ECMO participation under neonatologist supervision
New graduates are encouraged to apply with a structured 12-18 month mentorship and onboarding program led by Dr. Amy Brunt and the Neonatology team.
Individual patient management with your own in-basket responsibilities.
No travel or satellite clinic responsibilities-practice exclusively at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - College Station.
Strong interdisciplinary support including dedicated nursing and social work teams.
Opportunity to develop advanced neonatal critical care skills while practicing at the top of your license.
PALS certification required.

Job Summary
The NP Intensivist Medicine is a licensed, certified, non-physician healthcare provider. They provide direct patient care and have prescriptive authority. They are credentialed, privileged, and billed as independent providers by Medicare and Medicaid. The Advanced Practice Provider offers medical care based on the supervising physician''s scope of practice. Intensivist Medicine providers work in critical care settings. They manage patients by rounding, performing procedures, and handling hospital admissions and discharges.

QUALIFICATIONS
Nurse Practitioner (NP)
Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS): Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire or transfer.
Acute Care Nrs Pract Cert (ACNP-BC), Acute Care NP-A Gerontology (ACNPC-AG), Neonatal NP (NNP-BC): Must have one of the following:
