Position Overview:

Henry Ford Health is seeking a contingent (PRN) Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to join the NICU team at HF St. John Children's Hospital. The NNP will provide comprehensive care to high-risk neonates, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of complex conditions; attend high-risk deliveries; perform designated procedures; collaborate with a multidisciplinary team; and support patients and families.

Candidates must hold a current State of Michigan RN and APRN license, be NNP board certified (NCC or ANCC), and have a minimum of three years of Level III (or higher) NICU experience. This position is open to experienced NNPs only; new graduates will not be considered.

Employment contingent upon credentialing and completion of Employee Health screening per HFHS policy.

Qualifications:

  • NNP Only with Current MI licensure.
  • 2-5 years' experience, preferred.
  • National certification (ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA)
  • BLS required

Education & Training

  • Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP): Completion of an accredited Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program (CCNE or NLNAC)

Licensure

  • Current licensure as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, in the State of Michigan, or in the process of applying (proof of application required)

Certification

  • NNP: Certification by the National Certification Corporation (NCC)

Required Certifications

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - required

DEA / Controlled Substance Licensure

  • PA: DEA and Michigan Controlled Substance License (CSL) required through credentialing
  • NP: DEA registration required through credentialing; NPs do not hold a Michigan CSL and will use their Michigan license number during the application process
