Function
This class develops, implements, and evaluates a variety of violence prevention programs and policies. Incumbent will be assigned to the Comprehensive Violence Reduction programs that have been developed to work across disciplines in a multidisciplinary effort. This position works in partnership with the community to reduce violence in targeted areas in the City of Hampton. This work will engage those who are most at risk and those who are actively participating in violent activities. Acts as a resource to service providers. Performs duties under the general supervision of the Neighborhood Project Manager. This position supervises the work of others.
