Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic, collaborative Clinical Educator to lead professional development, clinical practice, and credentialing initiatives for our Surgical ICU (SICU). In this role, you will bridge the gap between advanced critical care and New England Baptist Hospital's premier orthopedic specialty.
You will serve as a vital mentor, designing evidence-based learning programs, leading our Magnet and Pathway to Association Practice (PTAP) alignment, and guiding nurses through every stage of their careers-from residency onboarding to specialty certifications. If you are passionate about adult learning, clinical excellence, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing nursing culture, we want you on our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Staff Development & Onboarding: Design, present, and evaluate clinical competency modules and educational programs using adult learning principles. Lead unit orientations, nurse residency programs, and competencies to ensure a seamless transition for new hires.
Magnet & PTAP Leadership: Collaborate with the Magnet/PTAP Director to manage annual reporting, national office communications, and intracycle monitoring. Educate and engage staff, physicians, and leaders across the organization to champion these programs.
Council & Committee Leadership: Lead monthly All-Day Council Meetings (including Research, Practice, Quality, and Coordinating Councils). Partner with nurse leaders to define roadmaps, chair committees, and drive professional practice projects.
Clinical Excellence & Evidence-Based Practice: Integrate the latest clinical research and evidence-based standards into nursing practice. Assist in developing and updating patient care policies, procedures, and protocols.
Real-Time Clinical Support: Act as an accessible resource on the floor to provide real-time education, mentoring, product rollouts, and life-support/emergency preparedness training.
Qualifications & Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must bring a strong critical care foundation, a passion for teaching, and proven leadership experience.

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Required.
