The Machinist (NDT) performs inspections for defects using Penetrant and Magnetic Particle Non-Destructive Testing methods; conducts tests, interprets results, and ensures compliance with industry codes, and standards; works independently with minimum guidance in a team environment.
Job Duties Include:
Interpret customer requirements from blueprints, complex drawings, engineering specifications, quality directives, charts, sketches, and verbal instructions.
Set up, calibrate, and operate NDT equipment such as Magnetic Particle (MT) and Penetrant (PT)
Conduct inspections to detect discontinuities or defects in materials and components.
Prepare detailed reports of findings and evaluations.
Actively contribute to lean initiatives by identifying and providing suggestions for areas of improvement. Effectively apply lean concepts to the work area.
Routinely maintain equipment to ensure machine cleanliness, accuracy, and reliability.
