Job Title:         NDI Technician (TD3000)
Location:        Kinston NC 28504
Duration:        3+ Months (Possibilities of extension)
Pay Rate:        $45-$57 per hour (All inclusive)
 
Duties:
  • Responsible for using analysis techniques to evaluate the properties of a materials, components or systems without causing damage.
  • Utilize Non-Destructive inspection methods (liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, thermography, stereography, eddy current, ultrasonic, radiography) to verify parts and processes are in compliance with customer engineering requirements.
 
Level II: (Job level 3 or less) Set-up and standardize NDI equipment, process parts, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection, and document results.
  • Establish techniques from approved general procedure or work instructions for final approval.
  • Conduct system performance checks in accordance with applicable process standards.
  • Provide necessary guidance and/or supervision to trainees.
  • Perform audit surveillance on non-destructive inspection processes and initiate and document any non-conformances according to specification, process and procedures.
 
Level III: (Job level 4) Interpret codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control NDT methods.
  • Assume technical responsibility for the NDT facility, equipment and staff.
  • Prepare, verify and approve procedures and work instruction for technical adequacy.
  • Provide training, examination, and certification of personnel.
  • Perform audit surveillance on non-destructive inspection processes and initiate and document any non-conformances according to specification, process and procedures.

Skills: 
  • Ultrasonic Testing Experience, UT methods like phased array, pulse-echo, shear wave, through transmission
  • Ultrasonic Testing Experience, UT methods like phased array, pulse-echo, shear wave, through transmission null
 
Education:      
  • AA DEGREE IN RELATED DISCIPLINE AND 3 YEAR OF RELATED EXPERIENCE
  • Ultrasonic Testing Level 1 Certification and 40 hrs. as UT Level 1 formal training hours
  • Ultrasonic Testing Level 2 Certification and 40 hrs. as UT Level 2 formal training hours
  • 800+ Ultrasonic Testing OJT Hours proof.
  • NAS 410 certification
