NCDOT - Front End Web Designer/Developer 1

Utilize modern front-end technologies including JavaScript, TypeScript, Vue.js, Vite, and state management with signals or reactive stores. - Apply semantic HTML structure and modern CSS (Flexbox, Grid, variables, theming) for responsive and accessible user interfaces.

Job Summary (List Format):

- Support ongoing UX design and front-end development for enterprise web applications and websites for NCDOT and NCDMV.
- Build and maintain accessible web UI components to ensure consistent user experience across enterprise web solutions.
- Conduct training sessions and webinars for NCDOT business customers on developed apps, sites, and tools.
- Collaborate with team members to implement design systems and component library architectures.
- Optimize web performance and ensure compliance with accessibility (WCAG 2.2+) best practices.
- Integrate web solutions with enterprise systems such as SAP, ServiceNow, and SharePoint.
- Utilize modern front-end technologies including JavaScript, TypeScript, Vue.js, Vite, and state management with signals or reactive stores.
- Apply semantic HTML structure and modern CSS (Flexbox, Grid, variables, theming) for responsive and accessible user interfaces.
- Perform website accessibility testing and address any identified issues.
- Leverage AI-assisted development and workflow automation tools.
- Work in a hybrid (mostly remote) environment, with occasional on-site presence required in the Triangle region (Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill, NC).
- Attend in-person meetings and interviews as needed.
- Ensure timely and effective communication with stakeholders and business customers.
- Adhere to project and agency requirements regarding work location, attendance, and compliance standards.
