Description
Provide NC programs for fabrication of machined parts. Translate engineering blueprints and 3D designs into precise computer instructions.
Job Responsibilities
· Proficiency in CATIA V5 to program for 3 to 5 axis machines.
· Analyze blueprints and job orders before programming and compare results with original specifications.
· Efficiently program, test, and revise machine programming.
· Selects machine type (3 to 5 axes), tooling requirements (for work holding purposes and part orientation) and cutting tool requirements.
· Ability to meet a provided deadline on time.
· Able to work on a team and communicate effectively.
· Provide on machine support for program development.
· Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications
Education:
· High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Minimum Qualifications:
· 3-5 years CATIA 5 - 3-axis and 5-axis programming.
Preferred Qualifications:
· 5+ years CATIA 5 - 3-axis and 5-axis programming plus mill-turn.
