Senior Automation Engineer

Primary Location: Raleigh, NC

V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Senior Automation Engineer for our premier client in Raleigh, NC.

Education and Experience:

Experience developing automation scripts, operational utilities, and workflow scripts using Python/Bash/Shell 7
Experience building and packaging applications with Docker, and managing and scaling containerized workloads using Kubernetes 2
Experience in infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and environment management using Terraform and Ansible 4
Experience with automating Linux OS and software patches and upgrades across multiple environments using automations tools like Ansible 7
Hands on Experience (like branching, merging, configuring, and administering) with BitBucket or GIT Source Code Management tool 3
Hands on experience in Automating build/deploy process including changes to database using tools like Ansible 7

Knowledge and Skills:

Role involves creating and maintaining Ansible playbooks, troubleshooting automation issues, ensuring consistent and reliable deployments across environments, and collaborating with DevOps and application teams to enhance CI/CD workflows. Strong knowledge of Linux, Ansible Tower/AWX, YAML, automation best practices, and infrastructure-as-code principles is required. Experience with debugging deployments, validating configurations, and improving release reliability is aplus.
