Job Summary (List Format): Senior AWS Developer (DHHS-ITD)
- Collaborate with ITD and DPH data modernization teams to design, implement, and manage AWS-based solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Lead development and build enterprise-level AWS Data Lakes, with extensive hands-on coding and design responsibilities.
- Modernize legacy applications by refactoring/migrating in-house applications to AWS cloud environments.
- Utilize a broad range of AWS services, including S3, Kinesis, Glue, Lambda, EMR, Athena, SageMaker, and others, for data ingestion, processing, transformation, and storage.
- Customize AWS ETL logic using Python; experience with object-oriented languages (Java, .NET) is a plus.
- Ensure security and data governance, including permissions management, encryption, auditing, and compliance.
- Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting, and act as a subject matter expert on AWS and emerging technologies for the technical team.
- Design and implement complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues and architectural risks, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
- Build and maintain DevOps/DevSecOps pipelines, with experience in CI/CD, automation, monitoring, and logging.
- Work with transactional or relational databases and leverage ETL tools and BI solutions (PowerBI, QuickSight) for data analytics.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and non-technical stakeholders, including senior IT and business leaders.
- Operate within Agile/Scrum frameworks, contributing to iterative project delivery and continuous improvement.
- Preferred: AWS certifications, experience with state government projects, and familiarity with business intelligence and analytics platforms.
