MANTECH seeks a motivated, career customer-oriented Naval Administrative Assistant to join our team in Chesapeake, VA. This is an onsite position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing daily office administration

  • Filing and recording Government specialized documentation

  • Converting and editing U.S. Navy and Coast Guard technical Documents

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, or GED

  • 1+ years of office administration or Naval business administrative experience

  • Experience using analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Experience with office communication, written and verbal

  • Experience with Microsoft programs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience with Navy Maintenance databases, especially: Maintenance and Ship Work Planning (M&SWP)

  • Experience applying redlines to XML formatted procedures in accordance with strict editing standards

  • Experience applying redlines to drawings in accordance with strict editing standards

  • 1+ years experience being able to decipher redlines (changes) on technical procedures and drawings made by validators (other team members) who recently visited updated ships

  • Perform Quality Assurance checks on procedures and drawings to ensure compliance with editing standards

Clearance Requirements:

  • US Citizenship is required and a current Interim Secret security clearance or higher or ability to obtain Interim Secret prior to start.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations

  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
