    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales and inside sales team to achieve and exceed revenue targets. Additionally, builds a cooperative and supportive relationship at all levels of the organization.
    • Foster a coaching culture, providing ongoing training, feedback, and performance management.
    • Drives on sales performance and adjust strategies as needed to drive market expansion in core pharmaceutical and biotech industries.
    • Guides their team to focus on smart and potential new customers.
    • Identify and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers in manufacturing, process engineering, and procurement.
    • Provide technical expertise and consultative selling to customers, ensuring product solutions meet regulatory and operational requirements.
    • Manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to closing deals and after-sales support.
    • Assist sales team in delivery of proposals and presentations when necessary to close strategic deals.
    • Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to address customer needs and enhance product offerings.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to position the company's products effectively.
    • Prepare presentations and proposals of the Burkert portfolio of products to be used for on-site presentations and sales calls
    • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events to enhance brand visibility and establish new business opportunities. Additionally, evaluate campaign and trade show effectiveness and suggest optimization ideas.
    • Assist in driving the specifications of Burkert Solutions at: OEMs, A&E firms, Integrators and End Users
    • Work with CIM's and Marketing to plan and implement promotional campaigns around Strategic Directives and Tactics.
    • Provides leadership to their teams (è POD structure Sales Operations Team & Service Team) to ensure alignment with sales.
    • Maintains communication with customers, distributors, our German HQ, and team to update them on new trends and products as needed.
    • Understand and align actions and strategies with the values of ownership and leadership.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; a background in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering is preferred.
    • 10+ years of sales experience in fluid flow control, valves, pumps, or related equipment within the pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing industry.
    • 5+ years of proven experience in sales leadership within the pharma or biotech manufacturing sector.
    • Strong understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), FDA regulations, and cleanroom environments.
    • Proven ability to develop and manage client relationships at all levels.
    • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to analyze technical specifications and recommend appropriate solutions.
    • Self-motivated, with strong problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities.
    • Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events -Travel (domestic) of up to 50% is required.
    • Proven experience influencing senior executives and management, ability to manage conflict constructively and acquiring/developing talent to grow into future leadership roles.
    • Knowledge on how to work within a global matrix organization.

    Location: Greater Charlotte, NC (Required) - Relocation is available for the chosen candidate if not located in Charlotte, NC.
