SUMMARY
The National Lending Portfolio Manager is responsible for facilitation and coordination of all functions necessary to ensure accurate and complete closing of national commercial real estate mortgage loans. Responsible for ensuring loans are compliant with federal regulations and bank policy while mitigating risk.
PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Manages the national commercial real estate loan portfolio including preparation of annual loan reviews, quarterly asset quality review and other related loan management documents.
- Tracks and facilitates removal of loan exceptions.
- Receives and reviews due diligence submission items and processes for closing.
- Obtains quotes, orders and analyzes environmental, zoning, property condition reports and flood determinations.
- Orders and provides cursory review of third-party property inspections.
- Orders bankruptcy and litigation searches on new borrowers and guarantors.
- Reviews and verifies property insurance on new loans to ensure compliance with the Bank's lending policy prior to loan closing.
- Analyzes annual ad valorem taxes and property insurance premiums to determine monthly escrow payments. Provides written analysis to the Bank's loan operations department regarding post-closing submission activities.
- Ensures loans comply with policies, guidelines and standards of the commercial real estate department, First Fidelity Bank and federal regulations.
- Arranges funding of loans and payment of loan closing expenses. In conjunction with attorneys, determines documents necessary for evidencing and/or securing of loans.
- Reviews all closed loan documents for accuracy and compliance. Communicates any post-closing exceptions to borrower, title company or mortgage loan broker.
- Determines closing requirements and serves as liaison between legal counsel, insurance agencies, county tax and assessor officers, internal compliance officer, internal accounting, loan officer and loan operations regarding all aspects of the loan closing process.
- Reports to senior management on all loan originations and loan extensions.
