    The Fleet & Facility Services Department is seeking a National Fleet Program Manager to lead and manage ABC Supply's national fleet programs and strategic initiatives. This role is responsible for overseeing fleet-related programs including vehicle maintenance, fuel, tires, equipment lifecycle management, vendor performance, compliance programs, and cost optimization initiatives.

    Reporting to the Fleet & Facility Services Manager, this position will partner closely with branch operations, divisional leadership, vendors, and corporate stakeholders to develop and execute fleet strategies that improve safety, compliance, operational efficiency, and financial performance across the organization.

    The National Fleet Program Manager will serve as a subject matter expert in fleet operations, vendor management, analytics, and continuous improvement while providing support direction nationwide.

    Essential Responsibilities:

    Fleet Program Leadership:

    • Manage national fleet programs
    • Develop and execute fleet strategies that support operational objectives and financial goals.
    • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities across fuel, tires, maintenance, equipment, and vendor contracts.
    • Lead cross-functional fleet initiatives from planning through implementation.

    Vendor & Contract Management:

    • Manage relationships with national vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
    • Negotiate pricing, service levels, and program enhancements.
    • Monitor vendor performance through scorecards, KPIs, and business reviews.
    • Ensure vendor compliance with contractual and operational requirements.

    Asset Lifecycle Management:

    • Oversee vehicle and equipment lifecycle strategies, including, maintenance, replacement, and disposal.
    • Develop recommendations for equipment replacement based on utilization, maintenance trends, and total cost of ownership.
    • Support remarketing and disposal efforts to maximize asset recovery value.

    Financial & Data Analysis:

    • Analyze fleet expenditures, trends, and performance metrics.
    • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.

    Compliance & Risk Management:

    • Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, state, federal, and company fleet regulations.
    • Maintain policies and procedures related to fleet operations, inspections, maintenance, and asset management.
    • Support audit activities and compliance reviews.
    • Drive safety initiatives and best practices throughout the fleet organization.

    Operational Support & Continuous Improvement:

    • Serve as a primary fleet resource for field operations and leadership teams.
    • Develop, document, and improve fleet-related processes and procedures.
    • Create training materials and conduct fleet education initiatives.
    • Lead issue resolution efforts for complex fleet-related challenges.
    • Support implementation of new technologies, reporting tools, and operational programs.

    Leadership & Collaboration:

    • Build strong partnerships with Operations, Safety, Procurement, Finance, and Field Leadership.
    • Influence stakeholders without direct authority to achieve organizational objectives.
    • Participate in strategic planning activities and fleet program development.
    • Lead special projects and additional duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    Required:

    • 5+ years of progressive fleet management, transportation, equipment management, or related operational experience.
    • Experience managing large-scale vendor relationships and national service programs.
    • Strong analytical and financial management skills.
    • Experience developing and presenting executive-level reports and recommendations.
    • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Microsoft 365, and data reporting tools.
    • Strong project management and organizational skills.
    • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    Preferred:

    • Experience managing fleet repair programs.
    • Experience in construction, industrial, distribution, equipment rental, or transportation industries.
    • DOT and OSHA regulatory knowledge.
    • Fleet management software experience.
    • Experience with fuel management, tire management, equipment lifecycle management, or fleet analytics programs.
