We build and execute culturally competent field programs that engage communities, move voters to action, and deliver measurable results.Our programs have mobilized hundreds of canvassers across the country, knocked millions of doors, registered voters, cured ballots, collected signatures, and supported winning campaigns at the local, state, and federal levels.Position OverviewNuevo Field Campaigns is seeking an experienced, driven, and highly organized Field Director to oversee the planning, execution, and management of field programs across multiple states and clients through the 2026 election cycle.The Field Director will serve as a senior leader responsible for building and managing large-scale voter contact operations, including paid canvassing, voter registration, ballot cure, signature collection, GOTV, and issue advocacy programs. This position requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and a willingness to travel extensively to support programs in the field.Remote work may be considered on a case-by-case basis, preference will be given to candidates based in one of our established locations, (California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas) to work alongside company leadership. ResponsibilitiesProgram ManagementLead the planning, launch, and execution of field programs across multiple states and clients.Develop field plans, staffing structures, timelines, and performance benchmarks.Monitor program goals, productivity, and quality control metrics.Ensure compliance with campaign labor, and organizational requirements.Provide regular reporting and analysis to clients and company leadership.Staff Recruitment & ManagementRecruit, hire, train, and supervise Regional Organizers, Field Managers, and canvassing staff.Build diverse, community-based teams reflective of the populations being engaged.Develop training materials and conduct staff onboarding and leadership development.Manage performance, coaching, accountability, and staff retention.Client & Stakeholder ManagementServe as a secondary primary point of contact for clients, campaign managers, consultants, and coalition partners.Participate in strategy discussions and provide recommendations based on field performance and voter contact data.Present reports, program updates, and recommendations to stakeholders.Operations & LogisticsCoordinate field offices, event logistics, materials distribution, and technology implementation.Oversee data collection, reporting systems, quality control, and compliance processes.Work closely with HR, payroll, compliance, and operations teams to ensure smooth program execution.Travel & On-Site LeadershipTravel frequently to launch new programs, train staff, conduct quality control, and troubleshoot operational challenges.Provide direct leadership during critical program periods, including voter registration deadlines, early vote, ballot cure, and GOTV.QualificationsRequired2-3 years of campaign, advocacy, labor, or community organizing experience.At least 2 cycles managing paid field programs or large-scale organizing operations.Experience supervising staff and managing managers.Demonstrated success managing voter contact programs including:Paid CanvassingVoter RegistrationBallot CureSignature CollectionGOTV OperationsStrong project management and organizational skills.Experience managing budgets and operational logistics.Ability to travel extensively and work evenings and weekends as needed.Valid driver's license and ability to rent and operate vehicles for program needs.PreferredExperience managing programs in multiple states simultaneously.Bilingual Spanish-English proficiency.Familiarity with VAN, PDI, Scale to Win, Mobilize, Slack, Google Workspace, and field reporting platforms.Experience working with diverse and multilingual communities.Previous experience with Democratic campaigns, labor organizations, advocacy groups, or issue campaigns.What Success Looks LikeBy November 2026, the Field Director will have:Successfully launched and managed multiple voter contact programs across the country.Built and retained high-performing organizing teams.Delivered programs that meet or exceed client goals and quality standards.Strengthened Nuevo Field Campaigns'' reputation as a premier national field organizing firm.Contributed to winning campaigns and meaningful voter engagement outcomes in key communities.CompensationCompensation for this position will be commensurate with experience, demonstrated leadership, and the scope of field programs previously managed. Nuevo Field Campaigns recognizes that qualified candidates may come from a variety of organizing and campaign leadership backgrounds, and compensation will be evaluated accordingly.Candidates whose most recent experience includes roles such as Campaign Field Director, Senior Field Director, National or Regional Organizing Director, or Political Director are encouraged to apply.
