National Carpet Cleaning Training Manager

Are you the person other carpet cleaners call when they can't figure out a problem?

ACR Companies is looking for an experienced commercial carpet and floor-care professional who knows the industry inside and out and is ready to take that knowledge nationwide.

This is not a classroom-only training position. We need someone who is comfortable getting into the field, operating equipment, troubleshooting difficult cleaning situations, demonstrating proper techniques, evaluating workmanship, and teaching experienced service providers how to consistently meet ACR standards.

What You'll Do

As ACR's National Training Manager, you will travel throughout the United States working directly with our Approved Service Providers (ASPs), Regional Managers, and internal teams.

You will:

• Train new and existing service providers on ACR cleaning standards and procedures.
• Provide hands-on instruction in commercial carpet cleaning, spotting, extraction, agitation, chemistry, equipment operation, drying, upholstery, textile cleaning, and hard-surface care.
• Evaluate technicians in the field and identify where technique, equipment, chemistry, or process needs improvement.
• Troubleshoot difficult cleaning situations and help determine why a job did not produce the expected result.
• Demonstrate proper procedures and coach technicians until they can perform them correctly and consistently.
• Conduct quality-control inspections and help resolve recurring workmanship issues.
• Evaluate provider equipment, chemicals, processes, professionalism, documentation, and overall readiness to perform ACR work.
• Help qualify, onboard, train, and certify new ACR service providers throughout the country.
• Work with Regional Managers to improve provider performance and address service-quality concerns.
• Support new national account launches and ensure providers understand account-specific requirements before work begins.
• Assist with difficult reservice situations and technically complex cleaning projects.
• Develop practical training guides, checklists, procedures, and instructional materials based on real-world field conditions.
• Document training, inspections, corrective actions, and provider performance.
• Assist with restoration-related training and projects when needed.

Who We're Looking For

Professional carpet-cleaning experience is essential for this position.

The right person will have significant hands-on experience with:

• Commercial carpet cleaning
• Hot-water extraction and other professional cleaning methods
• Carpet and textile fibers
• Cleaning chemistry and chemical selection
• Spot and stain removal
• Agitation methods
• Upholstery and textile cleaning
• Commercial cleaning equipment
• Hard-surface cleaning and maintenance
• Diagnosing recurring cleaning and appearance problems
• Inspecting completed work for quality

You should also be someone who can teach what you know. Being an excellent technician is important, but this position requires the ability to explain the why behind the process, demonstrate the correct technique, coach others, and hold professionals accountable to a consistent standard.

What Will Make You Stand Out

We would especially like to hear from candidates who have:

• Trained or managed professional carpet-cleaning technicians.
• Owned or operated a carpet-cleaning or floor-care business.
• Worked as a senior technician, technical trainer, operations manager, or field supervisor.
• IICRC certifications or equivalent professional industry training.
• Experience with commercial or national-account cleaning.
• Experience with water, fire, mold, or other restoration services.
• Experience troubleshooting difficult carpet, upholstery, textile, or floor-care problems.
• Experience working with multiple crews, branches, franchisees, subcontractors, or service providers.

Travel – Please Read Before Applying

This position requires frequent travel throughout the United States.

Travel may include several days away from home at a time and can occasionally involve evenings, weekends, short-notice trips, or extended assignments.

You may travel for:

• Service-provider onboarding and certification
• Hands-on field training
• Quality-control inspections
• Corrective training
• New national account launches
• Complex cleaning projects
• Emergency or restoration assignments

Candidates should be comfortable traveling regularly and working independently while representing ACR Companies in the field.

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on position. You must be able to lift and move commercial cleaning equipment and supplies and personally demonstrate professional cleaning procedures in field environments.

A valid driver's license and ability to meet company travel requirements are required.
