YOUR TEAM.

This position will support our Asset Management and Financial Services Industry Practice. The Director position within CohnReznick's National Assurance Office offers a rare blend of technical leadership, strategic influence, and industry specialization. It's a platform to shape the future of assurance quality across the firm, particularly within the dynamic and high-growth Asset Management and Financial Services sector. You will work on a team at National with other Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners as well as the Asset Management and Financial Services industry practitioners at all levels. This team has a passion for what they do and a focus on consistently delivering value to our clients.

YOUR ROLE.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

As an audit director, your primary responsibilities include providing technical consultation to our Asset Management and Financial Services assurance teams and clients as well as:

  • Fraud consultations for the industry
  • Working with our Monitoring & Remediation Team
  • Authoring technical white papers
  • Overseeing industry specific learning and development
  • Developing industry specific CR audit approach in collaboration with the assurance practice
  • Managing the quality control reviewers in the Asset Management and Financial Services practice
  • Growing our practice through assisting in business development activities and developing and mentoring staff.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise and experience within the Asset Management and Financial Services Industry working with various asset management funds, such as hedge, private equity ,venture capital, and debt as well as regulated investment companies (RIC's) and Small Business Investment Companies (SBIC's)In addition, the candidate must have proven experience driving initiative, understanding technical guidance and quality control standards. The Director will need to possess the skills to work closely with engagement teams, industry leaders, and firm leadership to provide real-time consultation and support. This creates a highly visible role with opportunities to influence client outcomes, mentor rising talent, and contribute to strategic growth.

YOUR EXPERIENCE.

The successful candidate will have:

  • BS/BA accounting; CPA required
  • Minimum 10+ years audit & accounting experience in a public accounting arena
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills including knowledge in US GAAP (for both privately and publicly held entities)
  • Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships (internally and externally).
  • Strong leadership, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent written, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Strong research skills
  • Solid organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task

In New York, the salary range for a National Assurance Director is $200,000 to $350,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individuals skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. Salary is one component of the CohnReznick total rewards package, which includes a discretionary performance bonus, generous paid time off, expanded and inclusive parental benefits, to name a few.
