    Nanny/Family Assistant - Coconut Grove, FL

    Salary/Benefits: $130,000-$150,000 based on experience; PTO/sick days provided.

    Location: Coconut Grove, Florida (open to live-in or live-out)

    Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday (Sunday and Monday off), approximately 50-60 hours/week. Typical hours: Tue–Thu 8:00 am–6:00 pm; Fri - Sat 12:00p - 12:00a. Some flexibility for occasional evenings, overnights, or schedule changes. Overnights and 24/7 care will be required when both parents are traveling (approximately 1 day a month)

    Travel: Typically once per month for long weekends, extended travel during spring break, winter holidays and summer. The family spends approximately two months each summer in Nantucket. Comfortable, private accommodations provided; hours and days adjusted by mutual agreement while traveling.

The family is looking for a positive, energetic individual who genuinely enjoys working with children and can seamlessly integrate into a fully staffed home - working weekdays alongside the family’s Housekeeper as a close-knit team. This position may be structured as either live-in or live-out for the right candidate. Flexibility is essential. The ideal candidate will be available for occasional overnight care, travel, and schedule adjustments as needed.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide attentive, age-appropriate care for two children (4.5 years and 11 months), including daily routines, developmental support, and educational play.
    • Manage school transitions and safely transport children to school, activities, classes, playdates, and outings.
    • Plan and facilitate fun, engaging, age-appropriate activities and outings.
    • Provide regular Friday and Saturday evening/date-night coverage, with occasional overnights and schedule flexibility as needed.
    • Assist with light meal preparation and cooking for the children and family.
    • Maintain organization of children’s bedrooms, play spaces, belongings, and laundry.
    • Provide light family and household support during downtime when childcare is fully covered, including errands and general tasks as needed.
    • Provide basic care for the family dog, including walking, feeding, and water.
    • Travel with the family as needed.
    • Collaborate closely with household staff to ensure seamless household operations.
    • Follow all food allergy precautions and safety protocols when caring for the children.
    • Perform all standard nanny responsibilities in a fully supported, staffed home environment.

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of private family nanny experience with verifiable references; proven experience caring for infants and young children.
    • Comfortable working in a fully staffed household; highly adaptable, proactive, and flexible with scheduling and responsibilities.
    • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; comfortable driving children (car-seat experience preferred).
    • Valid passport with ability to travel domestically and internationally.
    • Experience caring for children with food allergies and strong understanding of allergy-related safety and precautions.
    • Strong swimming skills and confidence supervising children around pools and other water activities.
    • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
    • Professional, warm, positive, cheerful, and collaborative demeanor.
    • Strong discretion, confidentiality, and respect for family privacy.
    • Fluent Spanish speaker (preferred; not required).
    • Montessori education training (preferred; not required).
